Kiva Singh

Kiva Singh already knew that she aspired to be an artist by the age of  four.  Through  the  nurturing environment  of  home  schooling, she was allowed  the freedom to develop her art work. Dancing in the Eye of Transformation
is her first published collab-
oration with her  mother, Sylvia.   Along  side her illustration, Kiva is  currently working as model. She is currently  focusing on painting and pastel works,  and looks forward to illustrating more literature in the future.

Sylvia Brallier, author of Dancing in the Eye of Transformation, commissioned her  very  talented daughter, Kivato create the majority of the lyrical illustrations in thebook. Kiva was inspired to draw at an early age, Sylvia, who is also an artist, wanted to create an atmosphere that would support her child’s growing interest. At one point, she and Kiva went as far as to let go of having a  “regular living room”  and  transformed it into a art studio where she and Kiva could  be found painting and drawing  to  their hearts’content both day and night.
“I feel it is parent’s duty to support and nurture  their child’s  interests and passions in any way possible. My own parents gave me unconditional love and support that  was so helpful  to my growth on all levels. It gave me permission to be the person that I came into this life to be. I wanted to do the same for my own children. Through  this  support,  the  authentic self  may flower and grow. When one is allowed to follow their heart,  greatness is posible.” As you  can see from Kiva’s beautiful work, the theory seems to be playing true.
